Certo che mi contraddico!
Sono grande,
contengo moltitudini...

Quando i lillà fioriranno,
l'ultima volta, nel prato davanti alla casa
E il grande astro nel cielo d'occidente calava presto la sera
Io ero in lutto, e sempre lo sarò,
ogni volta che torni primavera.
Primavera che sempre ritorni,
sempre mi porterai questa triade,
i lillà perennemente in fiore,
l'astro che tramonta ad occidente
Ed il pensiero di colui che adoro.

This I beheld,
or dreamed it in a dream:-

Vaporize me when I am ailing, pretty,
As golden as the ripest cooked chicken.
I have reentered my room of chickens,
Chills are learnt, it is the chimp.
My chin knows the damp style of weather,
My fridge I enter escaped me from the start,
My chinbone knocks hard with the furniture

Tu che ti insinuasti

come lama nel mio cuore gemente,
tu che forte come un branco di demoni

venisti a fare,
olle e ornato del mio spirito umiliato

il tuo letto e regno.
Infame, a lei come un forzato alla catena,

sono legato;
come alla bottiglia l’ubriacone,

come alla carogna i vermi;
come al gioco l’ostinato giocatore;

che tu sia maledetta!

Ho chiesto alla fulminea spada,
allora, di conquistare la
mia libertà, ed il perfido ho pregato
di soccorrere me vile.
Ahimè! La spada e il veleno,
pieni di disprezzo, m’han
detto: “non sei degno
che alla tua schiavitù maledetta ti
si tolga, imbecille;
una volta liberato dal suo dominio, per
i nostri sforzi,
tu faresti rivivere il cadavere del tuo vampiro,
con i baci tuoi!
